Wrap-Up Terms Explained: GL Only

GL-Only  (General Liability Only)

In the wrap-up administration world, GL Only has multiple meanings.  The term can mean that the entire wrap-up program provides general liability and excess liability coverage to enrolled contractors and requires that the contractors own workers’ compensation policies be primary at all times.  GL only can also mean that certain contractors are enrolled for general liability only for a full Comp/GL wrap-up which generally requires approval from the programs underwriter; off-site fabricators with on-site installers are typical contractors that are enrolled for GL Only for wrap-ups.
